November Update -The Writing Room

Click on the below link to view a streaming Quicktime video of my progress with using First Class 8.3 Client and the Writing Room with my grade 5 students. In summary, I have created a class conference folder for my students to respond on weekly topics in the same fashion as how they would use the Writing Room. We have just begun to use the Writing Room, but hoping to connect with other grade 5 teachers who can reply to.

Shane -- Thank-you! I have been really scratching my head as to how to get started with my group. Their level of writing is not appropriate for The Writing Room...yet. I really like the idea of adding a signature, a quote and customizing their fonts before they get started. Then I will follow your example and set up my internal conference so I can monitor the students entries.

I really enjoyed watching your video. Sure beats reading at 11:30 PM after a long day. It really brings your audience close up and personal. I think this medium has real potential.
